The Dynamic Barcelona is a compact 1 to 2 person far infrared sauna that plugs into a standard 120V outlet. It has six low EMF carbon heaters, including one in the floor and one under the bench, a clear glass door and side window, Bluetooth and chromotherapy lighting. It suits one person, or two who don't mind sitting close, in a spare room, closet or home gym. If you want lower EMF, look at the Barcelona Elite; if you want more room for two, look at the Santiago.
All specs below come from the manufacturer's product data and owner's manual, checked in October 2026. See the Dynamic Barcelona product page for today's price and stock.

Heating and heat-up time
The Barcelona has six carbon heaters: two on the back wall, one on each side wall, one under the bench and one in the floor. The floor and bench panels warm your calves and feet, which many small cabins skip.
The manufacturer lists 118°F to 132°F as the typical range and 140°F as the most it reaches. Infrared cabins warm you directly, so they feel milder than a traditional sauna at the same air temperature. The owner's manual gives these average warm-up times from a room above 70°F:
| Cabin temperature | Approximate time |
|---|---|
| 100°F | About 20 minutes |
| 115°F to 120°F | 25 to 30 minutes |
| 125°F to 130°F | 35 to 40 minutes |
| Up to about 135°F | 45 to 60 minutes |
A colder room takes longer. Most people start their session once the cabin passes 110°F to 120°F rather than waiting for the maximum.
EMF: Barcelona vs Barcelona Elite
The standard Barcelona's heaters are rated low EMF, at 5 to 10 mG about 2 to 3 inches from the panels. The Barcelona Elite is the same size with ultra-low EMF heaters rated at 3 to 5 mG. There's no official US exposure limit for this kind of field, so treat these as manufacturer comparisons between models rather than safety ratings. Our guide to Dynamic EMF ratings explains how the numbers are measured.
Size and who fits
Inside, the bench area is about 36 inches wide and 34 inches deep. That's roomy for one person and snug for two adults sitting shoulder to shoulder, so couples who want space should look at the 2-person Dynamic Santiago, which is about 6 inches wider inside. You sit upright; the cabin isn't long enough to lie down.
Design and features
- Clear glass. The clear tempered door and side window make the cabin feel open and bright, with less privacy than tinted glass.
- Controls. The manufacturer's spec sheet lists an interior LED control panel for time and temperature. The Barcelona Elite adds an exterior panel, so check the product page if starting the sauna from outside matters to you.
- Lighting. Chromotherapy color lighting and a red light feature. Enjoy them as mood lighting.
- Sound. Bluetooth streaming or an aux cable to the built-in speakers. There's no FM radio.
- Ventilation. The manual describes a movable roof vent you can open to let out heat.
- Backrest. The manual says backrests are sold separately.

Power, placement and assembly
The Barcelona plugs into a standard 120V, 15A outlet, with a dedicated circuit recommended. The manual says not to use a GFCI outlet, extension cord, surge protector or plug adapter. It's for indoor use only and the manufacturer says it can go on carpet or a hard floor in a basement, bathroom, walk-in closet or home gym, as long as the spot is dry, level and away from water.
It ships curbside on a pallet in one 276 lb carton, so line up help to move it inside. The wall panels buckle together; the manual calls for two adults, a Phillips screwdriver and a ladder. What it costs to run
The Barcelona draws up to 1.8 kW. At the US average of about 18 cents per kWh that EIA expects for 2026, an hour of heating at full power costs about 33 cents. Five sessions a week with a 30-minute preheat comes to roughly $7 a month at most, and less in practice because the heaters cycle once the cabin is warm. Your local rate may be higher or lower.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Small footprint that fits a closet, corner or spare room
- Plugs into a standard 120V outlet, no 240V wiring
- Six heaters, including floor and under-bench panels
- Bluetooth, chromotherapy and red light included
- Low running cost
Cons
- Snug for two adults; better for one
- Low EMF rather than ultra-low. The Barcelona Elite is the upgrade if that matters.
- Clear glass gives less privacy than bronze-tinted models
- Backrest sold separately, and no FM radio
Warranty
The owner's manual describes a limited warranty of 5 years on heating elements and electronics and 1 year on the wood structure and radio. It covers parts but not labor, is void if the sauna is used outdoors, and asks you to mail the warranty card with proof of purchase within 60 days.

Verdict: who is the Dynamic Barcelona for?
The Barcelona is one of the most affordable ways into a real infrared cabin: small enough for a closet or corner, simple to plug in, and cheap to run. It's best for one person, or two who are happy sitting close. If you want more room, choose the Santiago; if lower EMF matters to you, the Barcelona Elite costs a little more for the same cabin.
